In addition, you can enjoy your meal in traditional restaurants with live Hungarian gipsy music or find shelter from the sun in cool wine cellars that are more than a hundred years old. From the back yard you can walk straight into the nearby forest or if you want to go hiking in the Bakony Hills, you can also get there easily by train. In the garden of the villa and in the surrounding areas you can watch the following birds: magpie, blackbird, chaffinch, house sparrow, mistlethrush, carrion crow, collared dove, jay, swallow, tufted duck, starling, lesser spotted woodpecker, long tailed tit, black redstart, sparrowhawk, blue tit, sandmartin, goldfinch, starling, nuthatch.
The grass covered beach with the sandy lake bottom is an ideal place for relaxation and entertainment activities for all generations. When you are tired of lying on the beach, swimming or bathing in the lake, you can take the opportunity to go sailing, surfing or angling. The open water surface of 75 km length is ideal for boat trips. Stopping by at the ports you can get acquainted with the surrounding towns and villages.
Balatonalmádi, lying 3 kilometres from us, offers you tennis courts, night clubs, shopping places, restaurants, busy beaches and other entertainment facilities. In the nearby village, Felsõörs, you can experience real Hungarian country life; while those hungry for culture can find their way to the county seat, Veszprém, where, among many others, several summer programmes take place in the historic setting of the Old Town. The northern cultural centre of Lake Balaton, Balatonfüred is situated 15 kms south of us.
